Valenciennes Métropole has selected Neovya and its software, Neovya Hubsim, to study the potential impacts of a Low Emission Mobility Zone (LEMZ). Since 2014, the local authority has been committed to an ecological strategy aimed at reducing pollutant emissions, particularly in the transport sector, which is the main emitter of nitrogen oxides. For Valenciennes Métropole, the health and economic challenges associated with air pollution are crucial: reducing pollutant concentrations offers health and economic benefits, including increased life expectancy and reduced healthcare costs.
In collaboration with Atmo Hauts-De-France and Artelia, Neovya is tasked with estimating the socio-economic consequences of implementing a LEZ. Neovya Hubsim integrates all the territory's mobility data, performs efficient simulations, and provides a fine and comprehensive analysis of pollutant emissions rapidly. This operation enables the formulation of a response that meets the ecological and mobility challenges of the Valenciennes region regarding road traffic.
The computing power and speed of Neovya Hubsim have enabled the assessment of the impacts of implementing a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in Valenciennes. The simulations conducted estimate and evaluate the consequences on the ecological and socio-economic issues specific to the studied area.
