The Grenoble metropolitan area plans to undertake pipeline renovation work in the Combe de Gières. As these works will involve road interventions with alternating one way traffic, the metropolitan authority aims to anticipate their impact on traffic and implement an optimal mobility solution.
Neovya has been selected to assess the potential traffic changes across various alternative routes. Three scenarios (one-way ascending, descending, or alternating) and five detour routes during peak morning and evening periods have been considered. Following the integration of mobility data for the study area into Neovya Hubsim, the Neovya team was able to identify and quantify traffic rerouting based on each scenario.
Neovya assessed the impacts of the pipeline renovation work in the Combe de Gières. The effects of the construction on traffic rerouting and driving conditions were simulated, enabling the determination of the best solutions to minimize disruptions during the renovation.
